I read a news article in USA Today about adultery websites. Yes, you heard me, websites that cater to cheating spouses. Some of them are bringing in around $60 million a year.
In the article, the owner of one of these “discrete” encounters websites, Biderman, says that the day after Valentine’s Day is one of their biggest days. He attributes this to the disappointment from lack of effort and feelings of being “undervalued.”
The sociologist, Diane Kholos Wysocki of the University of Nebraska-Kearney, says that it reflects the "bigger social issue…people aren't taking care of their marriages…It's because the person is giving them attention they're not getting at home."
So what’s the point of all this?
